Saltwater Intelligent Monitoring (SWIM)

Saltwater has developed a range of onboard EM systems designed to meet the needs of diverse fisheries around the world. All include O2 (OpenOceans) software to collect high quality video imagery, GPS and sensor data – providing a clear record of fishing location, effort, and catch. Video recording can be triggered by gear activation, vessel speed, location, date or time. Data is collected on removable hard drives and can be transmitted via satellite and/or Wi-Fi.

All systems have been designed, prototyped and tested in-house by our technical team and have proven reliable in extreme environments – from the cold of Antarctica to the heat of the Pacific Islands – and on vessels ranging from factory longliners to open skiffs.

Standard

  • Compact, rugged control box with 12 V DC or AC power input.
  • Data encrypted on removable, high-capacity storage hard drive.
  • Configurable open-source data acquisition software.
  • Supports up to 8 IP digital cameras with IP67 ingress protection rating.
  • Multiple digital and analog sensor inputs and GPS receiver.
  • Wi-Fi and SIM connectivity for remote access and transferring data

Mobile Boat System (MBS)

  • Durable enclosure designed for transport between vessels.
  • Connected to vessel power and supported by AC 120 V.
  • Supports two digital IP cameras and GPS with IP67 ingress rating.
  • Data encrypted on a removable, high-capacity hard drive.
  • Wireless screen sharing with compatible personal devices.
  • Simple to operate with an interactive user interface.

Small Vessel System (SVS)

  • Small, lightweight and sealed within a weather tight enclosure.
  • Supported by 12 V power with portable battery options.
  • Supports two digital IP cameras and GPS with IP67 ingress rating.
  • Records encrypted data onto removable 512MB USB storage.
  • Wireless screen sharing with compatible personal devices.
  • Simple to operate with an interactive user interface.
